i guess its good for those who missed the lion mask the first time... and gaile said that there wont be a hat, which would've been a pleasant surprise for them.

Eh, would be better if we can use the fireworks in a town.

This was a test run, to make sure we had everything we needed. As the saying goes 'We'll be here all night'. so there will be lots of time
And yes, the fireworks are cool.

Like I said in another thread, going off of that, I'd like the 1st Wintersday Grenth Horns I missed. It's only fair. :-)
I NEVER thought I would see them pulling this after what happened with last Wintersday hats.

Me and some other people in Eng D9 were hoping it was going to be gauntlets, following the somewhat success they had in EotN, but we ended up with fireworks. I'm not complaining, but something permanent would have been nice.

Awwwww, I wouldn't be so disappointed if it wasn't for what Gaile said on Friday.

Presumably someone had just asked her if it would be everlasting fireworks. I realize she didn't actually say it wouldn't be fireworks; but just from the comment I was hoping for something way cooler than fireworks

You can keep the firework crates for parties.
Unfortunately people will just have used up most if not all other party consumables long before...^^ - so much about "party animal" titles. :>

Guild Hall only is kind of disappointing. I hardly ever have people in my Guild Hall.

My district had a glitch, so it didn't get the last dish...glad to see that there really was a surprise for a district that got all the dishes.

I second that! Honestly, I don't care for the fireworks, but I don't really care about the mini pets or the hats much either. They're gimmicky, sometimes neat to have (maybe a half dozen pets I think are cute), but that's it.
Nothing game-breaking, nothing to whine about. At least they do SOMETHING for us.

The district I was in unfortunately didn't bring too much, we were only able to get one dish completed. Though, to Lady Raenef (who I think browses this forum, the name is oddly familiar), I looked at some pictures about the mask, and I now see it more clearly. My opinion has changed from "wth?" to "that's pretty creative." I hope to idle in a district and get the crate because I think they're cool.
Thanks ANet, I enjoyed it.

The volitile gift is... of very limited interest. I'm sure it will be nice for active and over-enthuisastic guild members or gaile groupies, but it seems like the event that requires the most work, now has the worst rewards.

Very disapointing. The rats were way cooler. I think the stuff so far has been a bust and a big waste of time.
I think trading 5 pigs for one is a bit too much. I think the rats fall at a miserable stingy rate. I think I'm tired of everything in this game being for the uber rich. I'm tired of never being able to get the good stuff.
I think it should have been a new mask. And don't say your too busy doing GW2, you still have a comitment to this one. The least you could have done was make the drops of the required items drop more often. I tried to get some of the stuff and had to kill about 100 griffins for one wing.
